My migraines suck; My Succulents Do Not!

So, remember a couple of posts ago when I talked about my fascination with indoor gardening? Well….it’s now a total hobby. I love my Click & Grow station. I mean, really, really, love it. I’ve had to trim the basil already. This weekend, I’ll be moving the basil to another pot and will replace it with lettuce, tomatoes, and a polka dot plant. I can’t wait to eat tomatoes from my own indoor garden! I kinda wish I bought the bigger size because I’d have six pods instead of three. Oh well. It’s still a ton of fun.

I just potted about a kabillion succulents around my house. Not only did I get the humungo box of succulents from Amazon (yep, they sell them and they arrived in perfect condition), I also got the correct potting soil (not soil at all, by the way), a soil moisture meter, and succulent fertilizer. Oh and lest I forget, the tiny, little, gardening tools just for succulents. I’m hooked. This is now a part of my self-care. I find it so relaxing!

I spent my Sunday playing in the dirt even though it was cold and icky out and loved every second of it. And I needed to play in the dirt. I hit another rough patch in my migraine cycle. I refuse to lose hope though.

I won the appeal with my insurance company and increased my Aimovig from 70mgs to 140mgs. One injection in each leg once a month. My first increased dose was two weeks ago so fingers crossed it works! I have some audio recording to do. (I’m leaning ever so closer to doing a podcast).

So while my migraines suck; my succulents do not! See what I did there? I’ll be here all week, folks.

Have you had a simple pastime that changed into a (an obsession) hobby? Do you ever have to fight with your insurance company?
