Count Your Blessings...and Your Sayings

Not long ago, my friend gave me a Blessings Jar for my birthday. If you’re not familiar with how a Blessings Jar works, it’s a great way to recognize the good things that happen in our life throughout the year. Simply write it down, place it in the jar, and then read them every year…or whenever you need a boost to keep an attitude of gratitude. (You guys know I love my attitude of gratitude!)

The jar I was given came with some pre-written cards. Some of them were so powerful and it made me realize just how many sayings, quotes, verses, and mantras I’ve picked up along the way. These are some of my favorite:

  • When it rains, look for rainbows; when it’s dark, look for stars.

  • Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

  • I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.

  • Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.

  • A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.

  • This too shall pass.

  • Negativity is my disease asking me to come out and play.

  • Humility is a perpetual quietness of heart.

  • We are not failing as long as we are trying.

  • We must become the change we want to see.

  • There are several paths to the top of the mountain, but the view is still the same.

  • Serenity Prayer

  • Footpoots prose

Do you have any favorite sayings, quotes, verses, or mantras? I’d love to hear them!
